What Heart Restarted Is For

Surviving a cardiac arrest or a stretch on ECMO is only the first part of the story. What comes after, the isolation, the unanswered questions, the slow work of rebuilding, rarely comes with a roadmap. Heart Restarted was built to fill that gap.

Who it's for

Heart Restarted serves three groups on the same platform:

  • Survivors, who want to connect with people who understand what a code blue or a run on ECMO actually feels like, without having to explain it from scratch.
  • Caregivers, who are navigating a loved one's recovery and need their own support and resources, not just a waiting room.
  • Healthcare supporters, who want a place to point patients and families toward peer connection alongside clinical care.

What it actually does

Underneath, Heart Restarted is a peer community with a few practical tools: a safety plan, a list of questions for your care team, a daily check-in and breathing exercises. The safety plan, the question list and your check-in answers stay on your own phone, so we never see them.

It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is a place to find people who get it, check in with yourself, and walk into your next appointment prepared.

Curious whether it's a fit? Join the community or read more about the story behind it.
