Support after ECMO and cardiac arrest
Heart Restarted was born from the lived experience of cardiac arrest survival and the profound recognition that recovery extends far beyond medical intervention. Our founder, a cardiac arrest and ECMO survivor, experienced firsthand the gaps in post-cardiac arrest care: the isolation, the lack of peer support, the overwhelming task of navigating recovery without a roadmap.
After experiencing sudden cardiac arrest and spending time on ECMO life support, our founder recognized that while medical teams saved their life, the journey of recovery required something more: a comprehensive support system that addresses the physical, emotional, and social challenges survivors face.
